We love our reds, especially the big Barolos. This one is up there with the best. Blousy and dusty with the warmth of the Italian sun..

Big and robust,If you love the large reds then this is the one!. Made famous in Italy's Piedmont region -famous for the best wines - this Barolo is rich in flavour and deep in colour, with a nice oak aroma that lingers on the finish.  Barolo is a big seller all the time, on the net or in th eshop!

Years ago we loved the bottles of Chianti in the straw baskets, we still love the wine. The baskets seem  to have gone but the wine is as good as ever

MAde in the Tuscay region of Italy, It's blended from several grapes to give a full, dry character and elegant flavours of cherries and blackberries. Sturdy and robust,slightly spicy and tangy undertones.  Improves well with age nd develops an intensity that's missing on the young wine.

It means "Old Castle Of The King" A bit like Chateua Neuf!

We like to keep a few bottles back and drink it when it's over six months old

Surprisingly full bodied with a softness that means it matures quickly!, You'll always see someone in a French supermarket pulling the Chateau Neuf off the shelf and checking the label. It's one of the favourites!   Blended by Wine expert to give a complex flavour with several varieties of grape each contributing to the layers of aroma and flavours that make this so special. Complex and full of character, yet  ready to drink quickly!

We Love it!

Full bodied and exciting: Winexpert's 'Big Red' is the largest, most intense red wine available to the home brewer!  Dark, with an inviting colour and plenty of oakiness on the nose. It hints at the flavours!   Plenty of  mouth-filling, fruity berry Taste. Luna Rossa is  complicated with fruit and tannin capped by the long oak finish. A powerful wine with exciting flavour,    aromas with elegance and finesse.

Lots of people in the shop like this blend, especially if they've got a bit bored with the plain Cab Sav. It makes your wine a bit more interesting!

The Cab Sav can be strong and raw, the Merlot can be an underachiever. Combine the two for the best report card! The thought of a blend frightens some people off, these two work perfectly together, like Morecambe and Wise or... Try it!

It means, White Moon, It get's a few laughs in the  shop when we tell people, we don't know why...

It's a big full bodied white and we love it!!

The biggest flavoured white we do!. Like some full-bodied Chardonnays  Australia which develop their flavours from lots of heat and sunshine., Luna Bianca is lush, golden and rich. Dense and luscious, the  bouquet springs from the glass and meets you before you even taste the wine. Think of tropical fruits and vanilla,   the finished wine is high in alcohol and full bodied! It Includes an F-pack with pure Chardonnay juice - another industry first.

Silver Award*

We find the commercial piesporters a bit light and over sweet, this one's full bodied and medium dry! It's an excellent white wine and don't be put off by it's supermarket cousins.

When we persuade people in the shop to try it they always come back for more. We like it very cold. It don't half go down fast though

The town of Piesport in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wine region has an ideal steep amphitheater site perfect for producing sound, honeyed, delicate wines. 

Comes with F pack and some dried elderflowers.

The best selling white in this range. Both in the shop and online.

Crisp and tasty, instantly recognisable,  herby and grassy with the flinty bouquet. ,  with a generous acidity that is typical of the grape.  Always popular and sales increase all the time. Our customers often start with the Chardonnays and then move on to explore the Sav Blanc!

Just look at Amarone in the supermarket-Always in the more expensive wines and one for Saturday night!

Deep ruby red, a heavyweight wine with a bouquet of sour cherries and dark chocolate. You'll find stewed plums in there and dried fruits, anise, raisins and bitter almond. The hint od leather and saddle. The taste is amazingly complex with a spicy earthyness that goes on for ever.  Lots of tannins increase the big flavour. You know you're going to have to try this one!  Once you have you'll be hooked on Amarone!

There's not many South African wines available to the home brewer which is a shame.

It's intense and fruity with a pepperiness that is overlaid with the plumminess you expect.

There's the black and red berries of the big reds but a bit more, it says banana in the book. There is something but I couldn't place it, it's a big berry  flavour with a lot of subtle flavours in there..
